Arrive Chamonix

This morning you arrive into Geneva. Upon arrival take the French exit and here you will be welcomed and driven to the village of Chamonix that also is so famous for its Mont Blanc. Check in and relax. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy this delightful village and all that it has to offer you. You can opt to hop on the mini-train (Petit Train de Chamonix) which is a touristic attraction that takes you on an exciting tour of the city of Chamonix Mont Blanc. It is the ideal way to ensure that you don’t miss anything and is best suited for exploring the town of Chamonix (its origins, history, historic monuments and buildings, architecture, sports, activities, panoramic views, etc.) Overnight in Chamonix.

Wake up to breakfast in the crisp air of Chamonix following which you are taken on an excursion up the Aiguille du Midi by cable car from where you can get some spectacular aerial views of the village and the surrounding mountain ranges. On a clear day you can see the most renowned peaks of Europe, the French Alps (Mont-Blanc, Grandes Jorasses, Aiguille verte, Drus, Aiguilles de Chamonix), the Italian peaks (Dent du Géant, Pointe Helbronner, MonteRosa) as well as the Swiss peaks of (Matterhorn ou Cervin, Oberland,...). The new attraction which shouldn’t be skipped is the Skywalk (additional) a unique overhanging glazed floor from which visitors can soak in stunning views of the panorama that surrounds them. Return back to your hotel later in the afternoon for some well-deserved rest. Overnight in Chamonix.

Post breakfast this morning you are taken for an excursion to the Mer de Glace - one of the biggest and best known glaciers in Europe by train and also for a visit to the Ice Grotto there which takes you into the very heart of the glacier. Glaciorium is a new space entirely dedicated to the glaciers from their birth, to present and through to the future.

The “Galerie des cristaux” (Crystals Gallery) with its collection of curios from Mont Blanc and the “Musée de la faune alpine” (Alpine Wildlife Museum) is also included. Enroute at the peak there is also a restaurant that is more than 100 yrs old and still functional. You could stop there for your lunch. Later in the afternoon the time is free for you to stroll around the village and explore more here. Overnight in Chamonix.

Post breakfast this morning the day is free today. We suggest you to make your way to the train station to board the train taking you to Annecy - known as the ‘Savoyard Venice' or ‘ Venice of the Alps’. This train journey takes approximately 2.15 hours. The town is really quaint and a perfect place to bond and unwind. Walking along the lake and the cobbled streets of the town sure has a charm that is unparalleled. You could also take a cruise on Lake Annecy that rests at the foot of the Alps created 18,000 years ago from thawing glaciers. Back to Chamonix in the evening. Overnight in Chamonix

Day is free to explore Chamonix on your own. There is no better way to discover and revel in the splendor of the majestic Mont Blanc massif than a scenic helicopter ride which is something we highly recommend you. It’s time to soar like an eagle over Chamonix's mystical summits.  Tandem paragliding flights to experience the sensations and take advantage of the fabulous panoramas of Chamonix.

In the afternoon a must visit is the Chamonix Luge and Chamonix Amusement Park which is just 5 -10mins drive from the city centre.

Not only the new track of the Chamonix Luge Alpine Coaster, slides, trampolines, electric bikes, the rides tolooping, the boat splash, but also the outdoor playgrounds, giant swing, indoor playground, rope mechanics, mechanical excavators all are in store for a family day out.

Depart Chamonix
