Helsinki – overnight ferry to Stockholm

After breakfast go on a sightseeing tour of Helsinki (SIC) during which you will see the historical centre and the diplomatic quarters, the City Hall, the Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. Stops at Senate Square, the Sibelius Monument and at the Temppeliaukio Church in the rocks. The tour ends in the city centre with a little time on your own before it is time to board the Tallink Silja Line cruise ship for the crossing to Stockholm. After dinner you can dance the night away in the nightclub, linger in the various shops, or enjoy the scenery.

Stockholm

Enjoy a sumptuous Scandinavian breakfast buffet before arriving in Stockholm, but make sure to be out on deck as the ship sails into the beautiful Stockholm archipelago.

Around 9.30 a.m. you dock in Stockholm, the Swedish capital. Go on your own to the hotel and check in before it is time to join a sightseeing tour. Stockholm is often called the “Beauty on Water” being built on 14 islands. See all of Stockholm by bus and by boat.

Clients will enjoy a panoramic bus ride through the city and finish the tour with a boat ride around the Royal Park of Djurgården and past the most inner archipelago islands.

The rest of the afternoon is free to wander around on your own.

Stockholm – Oslo

After breakfast today you depart Stockholm for Oslo. You will travel by comfortable 1st class train. After arrival in Oslo, go to your hotel and check in.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Oslo

Oslo

After a good night’s sleep, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. In the morning go on a sightseeing tour (SIC). This is an extensive tour with many beautiful and interesting sights: Downtown Oslo, Vigeland Sculpture Park, Holmenkollen and the Viking Ships. From Bygdøy you can return to the city centre by boat or bus.

The rest of the day is free to explore Oslo on your own. There is much to see in this old city.

Oslo – Alta - Hammerfest

After breakfast go to the airport and fly to Alta in northern Norway. From Alta you take a bus to Hammerfest.

Hammerfest is the northernmost town in the world, the gate towards the Barents Sea.

Dinner and overnight stay in Hammerfest.

Hammerfest – Honningsvåg/North Cape

In the early morning leave on the Norwegian Coastal Steamer – Hurtigruten. It will be an early morning, but it is worth it. This tour is called the world’s most beautiful sea voyage. Be out on deck and look at the amazing arctic nature. At midday you arrive in Honningsvåg, which is the only town at the North Cape Island. Go to your hotel and check in. Have the afternoon to look at Honningsvåg before it is time for dinner at the hotel.

After dinner a bus departs from Honningsvåg to the North Cape.  Enter the North Cape hall. In there are several shops, a wide screen movie, a post office for special North Cape stamps and many other things. Don’t miss to go out to the famous North Cape cliffs and look at the end of the world and weather permitting, see the sun that never sets. After midnight take the same transportation back from North Cape to Honningsvåg.

Dinner and overnight stay in Honningsvåg.

Honningsvåg-Alta-Oslo-Bergen

Today you leave Honningsvåg by public bus for Alta Airport from where there is a flight back to Oslo. Change to a flight to Bergen.

Go on your own to your hotel.

Bergen

In Bergen, Norway’s second largest city you take a sightseeing tour (SIC) to get to know more about Bergen’s rich history as a trading and commercial center. The Bryggen area shows what the town looked like during the period when the Hanseatic League was in power in Bergen.

Bergen – Oslo

Norway in a nutshell

After breakfast leave on the famous “Norway in a Nutshell” trip from Bergen to Oslo. This unique tour takes you through some of the most magnificent scenery in and along the Norwegian Fjords! The trip starts by train from Bergen to Voss where you change to a bus that will take you to Gudvangen where you board a boat for a 2 hour cruise on the Aurland fjord, an arm of the Sognefjord. This is one of the narrowest fjord inlets in Western Norway, surrounded by mountains up to 1800 m.

In Flåm you change to the special Flåm line train, a masterpiece of engineering set in wild and wonderful countryside of high mountains and thundering waterfalls. In Myrdal you leave the train and board an express train to Oslo. Overnight stay in Oslo.

After breakfast it is time to say goodbye to Scandinavia.
