Reunion Islands - Full Day Volcano Tour

The Piton de la Fournaise volcano, situated in the South, is the active volcano on the island. It is young (less than 500,000 years) and of the grey, non-explosive type, as are the volcanoes of Hawaii, and is just as active. We leave the coastal region early morning travelling to the Plaine des Cafres and the forest of the volcano, making several stops: at the Nez de Boeuf, the Commerson crater and of course the Plaine des Sables (Sand Plain). From the Pas de Bellecombe, at more than 2300 m of altitude, one has a good view of the main crater of Piton de la Fournaise. We will visit the old Rum Museum, the «Saga du Rhum», a historical, cultural and sensory adventure… Overnight

Reunion Islands - Full Day Maido's Peak and St Paul's Market

Mafate can only be reached on foot. From Piton Maïdo however one has an aerial view of this unusual valley where 800 inhabitants live at the foot of the Piton des Neiges and where life is totally steeped in Reunion Creole culture. The open market at Saint Paul also represents the Creole identity that you will discover on the tour. We leave the coast early morning and travel to the Leeward Forest of the Highlands with its Tamarind trees and then on to Piton Maïdo. Going down to Petite France we discover a distillery of essential oils, especially of geranium rosat. Then on to Saint Paul, the cradle of the early settlement. Visit of the best known market on the island. Overnight
